Maamallan Institute of Technology is a registered charitable trust having its registered office at #23, Railway colony II street, Nelson Manickam Road, chennai- 600029.Now the trust is managed by Jeppiaar Educational Trust headed by Dr.Jeppiaar, M.A,B.L,Ph.D, Chairman of Maamallan Institute of Technology.

He is also the President of the association of Tamil Nadu State self-financing Engineering colleges.He is presently well known among academicians as a dedicated educationalist and philanthropist. He is a simple man by nature,but is endowed with the great mind for all deserving organizations,which seek his help.

Since Education is the life of a nation, the Maamallan Educational Trust took up the noble task of educating the rural mass. The future of independent India lies with the young minds. To upgrade, to update, to enrich the quality of education, to address the student's need to keep abrust with developments in various fields of Engineering and Technology and to provide access for continuing education of Professional , the trust started an engineering college by the name Maamallan Institute of Technology on 28th August 2001 at Maamallan Nagar, Vadamangalam Village, Sriperumpudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District about 35 kms from Chennai, duly approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.
